Bread Collective is a network of creatives working across a variety of disciplines, based in the heart of East London. We specialise in illustrative typography, murals and installations, as well as art direction, graphic design and branding. We're very flexible and work on a project by project basis, from large scale to small.

We have an authentic design aesthetic and aim to maintain the balance between digital and traditional media, embracing both past and present techniques. We're happy getting our hands dirty, often finding that getting away from a computer screen helps stimulate more creative outcomes.

Bread Collective was officially born in 2012, with a group of friends applying for, and winning funding for a 100-metre long community mural in Hackney Wick by the London Olympic site, to reflect the area’s heritage.

In 2013, Bread were very proud to have had their work selected by Creative Review for the Annual, and to win a Design & Communication award at the YCN Professional Awards. The team were also invited to paint at London’s prestigious arts establishment, the Southbank Centre for the 2013 summer festival, and created branding for design shop Such & Such.

In 2014, the Collective had their first overseas project for the Pop Up Flea, a premium menswear event in New York city. They also worked for exciting clients such as Converse and the Everyman Cinemas’ summer-long pop-up at Battersea Power Station, creating super-scaled graphics and branding throughout.

2015 saw Bread Collective working with client Gail’s Artisan Bakery at their restaurant at Frieze Art Fair, creating graphics and interiors for the 2nd year in a row. Other clients and highlights included the Pop Up Flea events in Los Angeles and New York, smashing concrete type for limited edition prints for the Secret 7 exhibition, creating beautiful branding for restaurant Novi, Whistles menswear pop-up in Shoreditch, window installations for Ted Baker’s new concept store (1 every week for 10 weeks) and many more…

In 2016 we are now four years old – watch this space for new projects!
